First let me introduce you to my darling daughter, Emily (aka Millie Moo). She is a little girl with a HUGE personality that bubbles over each and every day, resulting in some rather interesting situations.
For example just this afternoon Emily and I were colouring in her bedroom, I left her for two minutes to go check on the muffins I had in the oven. Upon my return to her bedroom I discover she has vanished. After a quick search she was discovered... in the bathroom putting her Daddy's jandels in the toilet. Lucky Daddy!
The bathroom is Emily's favourite place at the moment. She will grab any opportunity that presents itself to get into the bathroom and have a play. It is quite common to find her sitting on the bathroom floor surrounded by toilet paper, tampons, plasters or flourishing the toilet brush around like a wand. Luckily she also loves to wash her hands! With her love of the bathroom I thought why don't we try and start toilet training... Emily is more interested in bathing her potty than she is sitting on it. So that idea has been tossed out the window.
Another of Emily's favourite activities is posting things out the cat flap. If something goes missing in our house one of the first places to look is through the cat flap. Keys, dummies, spoons, toys, socks, shoes, cell phones, toothbrushes, crayons, tampons, toilet paper etc. Emily uses the cat flap more than the cats do.
Emily has quite a vocabulary for a wee toddler. She seems to be coming out with a new word almost every day. Today's word was "A a a a Choo!", she says this while pretending to sneeze. Her most used words are "Bye, Thank You, Bubba, Mama, Daddy, Zuri (our dog), Swing, Wet, Stuck, Oh No!, Shoes, Come and There you are!" She can count to 5 and can identify different farm animals and make their sounds. She also comes out with a few phrases that are not so innocent like "Oh Shit!", haven't the faintest idea where she got that one from (I say whistling innocently). Kids say the darnedest things don't they?
Well I better sign off here as Miss Millie Moo has just fallen asleep on the lounge floor, recharging her batteries for her next adventure no doubt.
